Have you ever wondered what the Lord's job is? He doesn’t just sit in the Heavens watching goings on in the earth; HE TALKS!!! That's His job; it’s a sign of authority.

No wonder Jesus was such a master of words. He created and changed situations by the power of words.  John 5:19 says, "Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise." He told them that He was doing exactly what He had learnt from the Father

“For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” Isaiah 55:10-11

The word of God is not just seed but rain as well. When God speaks, His word goes forth to accomplish what He says.

The scriptures admonish us to do likewise. Ephesians 5:1 says, "Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;"  In the Spirit, learn to see as God sees and talk as He talks. Physical senses give us information about the physical world around us, so also do spiritual senses give us spiritual information. The more you meditate on the word and fellowship with the Holy Spirit, the more your spiritual senses are sharpened.

Acts Chapter 3 in the Bible gives us a beautiful account of Peter and John's encounter with a crippled man at the gate of the temple called Beautiful. The man was gloriously healed but what Peter had to offer was not the power to pray but to heal. The man's bones received strength; they responded to the word by Peter. Our words have the creative ability given us by the Lord. We can cause things to happen for our good and more importantly in enforcing the will of God in the earth.

This is the year 2022 and we are eagerly expecting and preparing for the Lord’s soon return, but while here, it’s our responsibility to receive the word of the Lord from His mouth and continually speak it forth. Every so often, make faith proclamations about your ministry, your life and your loved ones. Declare prophetically that the name of the Lord is exalted in your city and your country and His will is carried out in the lives of the inhabitants, and people all around the world.

Talk as your heavenly Father does!
