Delegates at the recently concluded World Evangelism Conference with Pastor Chris and Pastor Benny Hinn were enlightened on the state of the Gospel in some nations where persecutions seem to be most severe against Christians. The delegates were also provoked with remarkable testimonies, which heightened their resolve in their pursuit of souls, during an inspiring talkshow on "The State of the Gospel in My Nation".
Anchored by an ISM Senior Cell Leader, Pastor Carole Frank, the panelists, comprising of ISM ministers from South Korea, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, enlightened the delegates on the current state of the Gospel in their nations, the challenges they've experienced as a result of their preaching of the Gospel and the next phase of ministry in the coming years.
Speaking first was Pastor Dmitriy Khen of Sunniy Church, Seoul, South Korea, who is a citizen of North Korea. Pastor Dmitriy testified of how they had been praying for the borders between North and South Korea to be opened, which he said is gradually coming to pass! He affirmed that the opening of the borders will give Christians in South Korea the opportunity to penetrate North Korea with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
Pastor Abraham of Life Church, Uzbekistan, testified of how he was released supernaturally after 18 years of imprisonment for preaching the gospel and how he was healed miraculously of a terminal disease while in prison.
"In 1996, we were active in the Gospel, inspite of the persecutions and killings of Christian in Uzbekistan. We were arrested many times," he said.
Pastor Abraham testified that while in prison, his organs started failing and he was healed miraculously. Also, on several occasions while in prison, he said that he was summoned for questioning but he took advantage of those summons to preach the Gospel to his captors, and after 18 years in prison, he was supernaturally released.
Pastor Abraham said that since his release, he has been invited to several meetings with government representatives and political leaders in attendance, and he always seizes the opportunity to preach the Gospel to them. Glory!
Concluding the inspiring talkshow, Pastor Elshan of Christian Church, Azerbaijan, who is also very active in taking the gospel to Iran, testified of God's liquid love that transformed him from being a Muslim to a vibrant and passionate minister of the Gospel.
Pastor Elshan spoke of how Christians suffered persecutions in Azerbaijan and how his church building was seized and burnt by the Government. But today, the church building that was seized and burnt has been returned and registered after 20 years of persistent prayers and intercessions.
Pastor Elshan, however, said that the situation in Iran is still harsh to Christians and that he would have been imprisoned for 10 years in Iran for preaching the Gospel.
"We are trying to enter Iran through several ways that I can't say here," he said, as he called on Christians everywhere to intercede in prayers for opportunities to penetrate Iran with the Gospel.
Concluding, he testified that the Church in Azerbaijan is growing and more doors of opportunities are opened daily as they go from house to house preaching the Gospel with power and the demonstration of the Holy Spirit. Glory!!!
The Church is matching on and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it!
